Did you know that the Wisconsin Capitol Holiday Tree is decorated with ornaments made by school children across Wisconsin? There are ornaments made by students at Anana Elementary, New Century Charter, Northside Elementary, and the Wisconsin Heights School District. If you visit the Capitol during the holidays, see if you can spot one of their ornaments on the tree!

The Capitol Christmas Tree is beautifully decorated with handmade ornaments celebrating and thanking Wisconsin teachers. Governor Tony Evers helped flip the switch this week to light this 30-foot balsam fir harvested in Gillett, Wisconsin and donated by retired growers Mary and Dave Vander Velden. I hope you can come to the Capitol to see it in person during the holiday season!

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, enjoying good food and the opportunity to spend time with the people you love … and that you put politics aside for a bit to focus on the importance of friends and family!

A bill I have authored to create meaningful education and outreach on Perimenopause and Menopause has earned bipartisan support. The bill got a boost from Oscar-winning actor Halle Berry, who joined me for a virtual press conference and then spoke to the Health Committee in support of the bill.
