BILL DRAFTING AND LEGAL SERVICES
LRB attorneys draft all bills, resolutions, and amendments for introduction in the legislature. The attorneys also draft legislation for the governor, executive branch agencies, and the courts. LRB attorneys are available at all times to meet with legislators and staff in their capitol offices.
In addition, LRB attorneys provide confidential, nonpartisan legal advice and research services to legislators and assist with legal matters relating to legislative operations and business. When either house is in floor session, attorneys are in the chamber to answer questions while other attorneys remain at the LRB offices to draft amendments for floor consideration.
