Subeck Calls on U.S. Supreme Court to Trust Experts, allow Safe and Legal Access to Medication Abortion – Today, the United States Supreme Court announced it would hear a Biden Administration appeal in FDA v. Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine, the ongoing federal lawsuit over the Food and Drug Administration’s approval of mifepristone, the drug most commonly used in medication abortions.

Rep. Subeck Praises Dane County Court Ruling That Abortion is Legal in Wisconsin Last night, Dane County Judge ruled that an 1800s-era law that many interpreted to be a complete ban on abortion does not apply to consensual abortions, but only to the “intentional criminal act of feticide.”

Subeck Responds to City of Milwaukee Support for Resolution Protecting Survivors of Domestic Violence Today, Representative Lisa Subeck (D-Madison) joined Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson as he signed Common Council Resolution 231169, directing city staff to help advance a bill in the state legislature that Rep. Subeck introduced earlier this month.

Bill to Close Loophole on Sexual Assault by a Health Care Provider Passes Assembly Today, the State Assembly passed Assembly Bill 129 (AB 129) to close a loophole in state law relating to sexual assault by a health care provider. Representatives Lisa Subeck (D-Madison) and Barb Dittrich (R-Oconomowoc) authored the bipartisan legislation.

Democratic Legislators Announce Bill to Keep Guns Out of the Hands of Domestic Abusers Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul, joined by state Senator Kelda Roys and state Representative Lisa Subeck, announced new legislation to ensure those convicted of violent offenses related to domestic violence are unable to legally purchase or possess firearms in Wisconsin.
