E-Updates

This week I introduced my first bill of the session relating to open records. The Governor announced his budget proposals and had a student from the district visit my office. 

This week's update highlights meetings with constituents about their interests and priorities for this year's session. I also spoke with TMJ4 in Milwaukee about a bipartisan bill I am co-authoring with Rep. LaKeshia Myers (D-Milwaukee) to allow for a pilot program to install red-light cameras across the City of Milwaukee.

Senator Howard Marklein and I hosted our first listening session this past Monday in the Town of Sylvester Town Hall and in the city of Darlington. I also included in this e-update my staff for this session. 

In this week's e-update, I gave a preview of the legislation the Assembly would be voting on this week, including AJR 1, the proposed constitutional amendment relating to bail considerations. I also announce the upcoming listening sessions that Senator Marklein and I will be doing. 

In this week's update, I talk about next Thursday, the Assembly will hold a floor session to debate and vote on Assembly Joint Resolution 1. I was honored to receive the 2022 Friend of Grocers Award from Michael Semmann, representing the Wisconsin Grocers Association.

This update talks about Inauguration Day and sworn-in to my fifth term in the State Assembly.
