My staff and I are proud to serve our constituents in the 23rd District.  Please do not hesitate to contact our office to share your opinions on legislation, seek our assistance to navigate state agencies, or honor someone for their distinguished service to our community. We are happy to provide you with exceptional customer service while addressing your needs, whatever they may be.

State Programs / Agency Contacts

Navigating state agencies and government contacts can be a daunting task without a good guide. If you are looking for assistance or have general questions about a particular state program, please contact my office. My staff and I would be happy to assist you. You can also check the list of state agencies and what they have to offer by visiting this directory

Blue Books / How a Bill Becomes a Law

State of Wisconsin Blue Books and the How a Bill Becomes a Law resource packet are available both through my office or the Assembly Chief Clerk's website. If you are interested in either of these items, please send use the contact form to request your copy.

A PDF copy of How a Bill Becomes a Law is available here.

Legislative Citations and Plaques

An official citation from the state legislature is a wonderful way to recognize an outstanding achievement. The legislature regularly issues citations honoring people who have become Eagle Scouts, received the Girl Scout Gold Award, retired after a long career, proudly served in the Armed Forces, and many other notable accomplishments.

Whenever possible I am always happy to attend events and present citations in person. Please contact my office to arrange this process.

Flag Requests

The Assembly Chief Clerk's office has both American and Wisconsin flags available for purchase. You may also choose to have the flag flown over the state capitol on behalf of someone and/or a special occasion. Flags flown over the capitol include a certificate of recognition.

U.S. Flag $12.00
Wisconsin Flag $12.00

Capitol Tours

There are free tours available in the state capitol year round, seven days a week. From Monday through Saturday, the tours depart regularly throughout the day from the Information Desk on the ground floor of the capitol rotunda. During the summer the sixth floor museum and observation deck are open to the public, offering incredible views of the city of Madison and of the isthmus. To learn more about arranging a tour of the capitol during your upcoming visit to Madison, please visit the capitol tours web page. .

Internship Opportunities

Many of the legislative staffers and legislators began their careers in the state capitol as interns. Their experiences equipped them with the knowledge of state government and the tools they needed to succeed professionally. If you are a college student, an internship with the Wisconsin State Assembly can be a very rewarding experience. I encourage you to contact my office if you are interested in applying. Simply submit your resume and a brief cover letter to my office by mail or e-mail.

The Assembly Democrats also coordinate internships on behalf of the caucus. Follow this link for more information.
