The Assembly was in Session on Wednesday to pass several bills. I'd like to highlight two that I have received many constituent contacts about over the years.

This week, the Joint Finance Committee (JFC) convened on Tuesday and Thursday to continue our work on the 2025-27 biennial budget. A lot of state agencies and budgetary items were covered, so I'll just share some of the biggest highlights below.

Yesterday, the Joint Committee on Finance (JFC) continued our work taking action on the 2025-27 Biennial Budget. I'd like to highlight a couple of adopted budget provisions that will be great for our region!

This week the Joint Committee on Finance (JFC) voted to invest in crucial government services at the Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF) and the Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS).

The Joint Finance Committee (JFC) convened on May 8^th for the first Executive Session on the 2025-27 biennial budget. Executive Sessions are committee meetings where standing committees vote on bills. In the case of our committee, our Executive Sessions involve voting on individual budget amendments. Several amendments were adopted yesterday.
