Constituent Services

Because you don't have to do it on your own

My staff and I are proud to serve our constituents in the 12th Assembly District. Whether you are interested in a tour of your state capitol or would like more information about a particular program funded and maintained by the state government, we encourage you to contact our office.

State Programs & Agency Contacts

Navigating state agencies and government contacts can be a daunting task without a good guide. If you are looking for assistance or have general questions about a particular state program, my staff and I would be happy to assist you. You can also check the list of state agencies and what they have to offer by visiting this directory.

Blue Books & How a Bill Becomes a Law

State of Wisconsin Blue Books and the How a Bill Becomes a Law resource packet are available both through my office or the Assembly Chief Clerk's website. If you are interested in either of these items, please contact Representative Goodwin's office.

A PDF copy of How a Bill Becomes a Law is available here.

Legislative Citations and Plaques

An official citation from the state legislature is a wonderful way to recognize an outstanding achievement. The legislature regularly issues citations honoring people who have become Eagle Scouts, received the Girl Scout Gold Award, retired after a long career, proudly served in the Armed Forces, and many other notable accomplishments.

Whenever possible, Representative Goodwin is always happy to attend events and present citations in person. Please contact our office to arrange this process.

Flag Requests

The Assembly Chief Clerk's office has both American and Wisconsin flags available for purchase. You may also choose to have the flag flown over the state capitol on behalf of someone and/or a special occasion. Flags flown over the capitol include a certificate of recognition.

U.S. Flag $12.00
Wisconsin Flag $12.00

Internship Opportunities

If you are a college student, an internship with the Wisconsin State Assembly can be a very rewarding experience. Many of the legislative staffers and legislators began their careers in the state capitol as interns. Their experiences equipped them with the knowledge of state government and the tools they needed to succeed professionally.

Internships are offered through the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. These internships are in-person and unpaid with an emphasis on providing participants with hands on legislative experience directly in the state capitol building. For more information on the Wisconsin Legislative Internship Program, please click here.

I encourage you to contact my office if you are interested in applying. Simply submit your resume and a brief cover letter to my office by mail or e-mail.

We can't wait to have you join our team!
