Meet Ron

Wisconsin State Representative, Ron Tusler was born in Appleton, Wisconsin to Bill & Bev Tusler in 1984. Bill Tusler is a 3rd generation car salesman and Bev is a home maker. Ron's family is deeply part of the Fox Valley’s history. One of the original car dealerships in the Fox Valley was Tusler Pontiac. Ron’s great-grandfather, Sen. Gordon Bubolz, Sr. built Secura Insurance, a major Fox Valley employer. Sen. Bubolz served in the state senate and was best known for his conservation of Northeast Wisconsin’s state parks, including High Cliff State Park. The Gordon Bubolz Nature Preserve was renamed after him in dedication of his service to our community.

Ron Tusler is a local attorney and small business owner of Tusler Law, LLC. Ron graduated from St. Matthew’s Lutheran in 1998 and Neenah High School in 2002. In 2007, he graduated from UW-Milwaukee with an Urban Education, Honors, and History major degree and a Political Science minor degree. Ron worked as a student-teacher in Milwaukee Public Schools, teaching US History at Bayview High School, history and science at Bell Accelerated Middle School in its last semester before the school failed, and general education at Westside I Elementary.

While in law school, he represented Marquette University in American Bar Association competitions. In 2009, he was Client Counseling Champion within the 7th Circuit. He served as the Vice President of the St. Thomas More Society and Treasurer for the Native American Law Society. Under the direction of Archbishop Timothy Dolan, he managed a Marquette program to teach law in the Wauwatosa Juvenile Detention Facility in 2008-2010. He accepted Wauwatosa’s "Friend of Education" Award in 2009 for the group’s collective work.

During law school, Ron Tusler interned at the Outagamie County District Attorney’s Office and worked as a student attorney at the Winnebago County District Attorney’s Office and the Outagamie County Public Defender’s Office. He prosecuted drunk driving offenses, sexual assaults, and he aided DA Christian Gossett and Scott Cemen in a murder trial. After law school, Atty. Ron Tusler worked for Alan Hoff Law Offices in Appleton, Wisconsin. Atty. Hoff remains close and he advises Ron on various topics.

In 2011, Ron married his wife, Devon Tusler (formerly Tice) of Grafton, Wisconsin. Ron and Devon have been truly inseparable since they met in 2005. Ron often states how blessed he is to have such a strong relationship with his wife. In May 2018, Ron and Devon were elated to welcome their first child, Madeline Tusler. Two years later in May 2020, Ron and Devon welcomed their second daughter, Caroline Tusler.

In 2014, Ron and Devon started Tusler Law, LLC. The law firm was an instant success. He is ranked within the "Top One Percent" of attorneys by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel. He is also a "Top Ten" attorney as awarded by the National Association of Personal Injury Attorneys and one of the “10 Best in Client Satisfaction” by the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys. In 2015, he was selected as one of the Pulse/Post Crescent’s "Future 15."

Ron is dedicated to service in the community. He served as the Chairman of the Appleton Area Jaycees in 2015, serving as President in 2014 and Treasurer in 2013. He was the Chairman of the Festival Fireworks Sponsored by the Appleton Area Jaycees in 2012 & 2013. He has served as an Executive Officer of the Boy Scouts of America, Gathering Waters District since 2011. He served as their Membership Chair in 2013 & 2014. He also served as the Chairman of the Outagamie County Republican Party in 2015 & 2016. Prior, he worked as the Communications Director and editor of its newsletter. During the 2012 Recall election, he appeared in over thirty-five television interviews advocating for conservative principles.
