This week we should have been celebrating the 50th anniversary of a landmark Supreme Court case that stated that women have the fundamental right to make choices about their bodies. It stated that the decision whether to continue or end a pregnancy belongs to the person, not the politicians.

This week my Republican colleagues held a vote on a hasty, last-minute resolution to put an advisory referendum on the ballot asking Wisconsinites about current law. NOT, of course, the current law in our state that drew overwhelming concern from voters last fall.
