This ruling, only weeks before the August primary election, will have drastic consequences for Wisconsinites around the state. By prohibiting the use of drop boxes moving forward, SCOWIS has further limited the fundamental right to the ballot box.

I thank Governor Evers for calling this special session to repeal WI's criminal abortion ban. In light of the recently leaked draft U.S. Supreme Court opinion that would overturn Roe v. Wade, it is critical that Wisconsin’s criminal abortion ban be repealed now.

Every woman has the right to bodily autonomy, privacy, and access to reproductive healthcare. This draft opinion by the Supreme Court shows their intention to disregard decades of precedent in favor of a blatantly political decision.
