Republican politicians are responsible for the devastating layoffs, tuition hikes, and closures that have resulted and will continue.

Today, the Republicans on the Senate Committee on Licensing, Constitution and Federalism voted to approve a bill to gag public employees from sharing accurate information about abortion, and barring the use of public property for activities related to abortion care.

This shows, yet again, that Republican politicians will stop at nothing to ban abortion and criminalize health care in opposition to the needs of the people they represent.

Wisconsinites deserve the freedom to make their own reproductive decisions. Abortion is healthcare, and access to abortion should never be determined by your state legislator or your zip code.

Every person who longs to do so should have the freedom to pursue parenthood. Infertility is a disease and it should be treated and covered just like any other diagnosis. 

Today, Sen. Kelda Roys (D-Madison) and Rep. Francesca Hong (D-Madison) will be introducing the Reproductive Freedom Act, designed to protect and expand freedom for Wisconsinites.
