Seniors

Supporting our seniors has always been a priority for me. That is why I work to make sure that senior issues are not left out of the discussion. This session, I co-sponsored Senate Bill 18, which would expedite a court proceeding when a victim or witness is an elder person to minimize the length of time under which an elder person would have to endure the stress of a court case.

I will continue to fight for a permanent waiver for SeniorCare to make sure that this fantastic program which helps seniors get access to medicine, and saves taxpayers' money, gets the support that it deserves. I'm also supporting Governor Evers' proposal for a family caregiver tax credit. This proposal has had bipartisan support in the past and it would provide support for 600,000 people who care for seniors and other adult family members.
