SUMMARY

From the creation of the Fund in April 2012 through FY 2014-15, 13 grant recipients were awarded a total of $336,926 in support of literacy and early childhood development programs. As of the end of FY 2014-15, $109,408 was available in the Fund for future grant awards. We recommend that the next annual report to the Legislature include additional information on plans for awarding grants in the future and for raising private funds.
