Assembly Democrats Fellowship Program

The Wisconsin Assembly Democratic Fellowship Program is aimed at promoting career opportunities and learning experiences for historically under-represented communities including racial/ethnic minorities, women, people with disabilities, and veterans.

Legislative fellows will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects related to diverse policy issues and regional concerns. Responsibilities in this role will include various tasks such as constituent casework, committee tracking, press monitoring, and legislative research.

Qualifications

  • A desire to be engaged in the political process
  • Good interpersonal communications skills
  • An ability to work well in a team setting
  • High level organizational and time management skills
  • Be enrolled and/or attend a two or four year college/university or a vocational/technical school program.
  • Prior political office experience is not required.

Fellows will be expected to work at least 20 hours a week based on their availability and will earn $15 an hour.
