Under Dr. Jill Underly’s leadership, student test scores have decreased and the achievement gap between black and white students has increased. Instead of owning up to this disastrous record and seeking to make needed improvements, Dr. Underly wants the state to spend seemingly endless amounts of taxpayer money.

School referendums in Wisconsin are working. These referendums keep the power and choice for how to spend tax dollars with people in local communities.

Today, the Wisconsin Supreme Court overturned its previous ruling regarding absentee ballot drop boxes. In the two years since, nothing has changed in the facts or state law. The only difference today is the political makeup of the court.

Rep Allen released a statement in light of recent revelations of the financial mismanagement in the Milwaukee Public Schools after voters approved a significant expenditure increase. It is especially concerning since it means a decrease in state aid for over 300 other school districts.

Rep Allen called on the UW administration to protect Jewish students after receiving an email detailing 38 instances of anti-Semitic speech and behavior on campus from the testimony of 24 students. 

Today the Assembly passed SB 736, relating to postelection audits by the Legislative Audit Bureau. The bill, which was already passed by the Senate, will now head to the governor’s desk.

Today, the Assembly passed a bill that encourages college savings by increasing tax deductions for college savings accounts.

the proclamation of President Ronald Reagan in 1988. It is a day where we celebrate and advocate for this most cherished right of every human being. 

Today, Rep. Allen, along with Sen. Jesse James, released a bill that would create a one-time school safety grant program of $30 million to improve school building safety and provide staff security training.
