Today, the Wisconsin Supreme Court overturned its previous ruling regarding absentee ballot drop boxes. In the two years since, nothing has changed in the facts or state law. The only difference today is the political makeup of the court.

Rep Allen released a statement in light of recent revelations of the financial mismanagement in the Milwaukee Public Schools after voters approved a significant expenditure increase. It is especially concerning since it means a decrease in state aid for over 300 other school districts.

Today, Rep. Allen, along with Sen. Jesse James, released a bill that would create a one-time school safety grant program of $30 million to improve school building safety and provide staff security training.

Today, Governor Evers vetoed AB 465, the “Help Not Harm Bill,” which would have protected minors from long-term, irreversible damage from unproven medical gender transition procedures. 

Today, parents, educators, and school board members made their voices heard at the Assembly Committee on Education in support of AB 308, a bill that protects kids from obscene materials in school.
