Request Assistance with State Government
Navigating the bureaucracy of state government can be a daunting task, but my staff and I are here to help. If you are looking for assistance or have general questions about a particular state program, please contact my office. You can also check the list of state agencies and what they have to offer by visiting this directory.
Blue Books / How a Bill Becomes a Law
State of Wisconsin Blue Books and the How a Bill Becomes a Law resource packet are available both through my office and the Assembly Chief Clerk's website. If you are interested in either of these items, please send me an e-mail with your name and address or call my office to request one.
A PDF copy of How a Bill Becomes a Law is available here.
Request a Legislative Citation
It is always an honor to help recognize the achievements of my constituents with a legislative citation. Past citations have been presented for numerous achievements, including scouting awards, significant personal or business anniversaries, educational achievements, and athletic championships. I make a point of attending events to which I am invited to present the citation in person if my schedule permits. To request a citation please contact my office with the following information:
- The exact name of the person to be honored
- Background information about the person
- Date & time you would like the citation to be presented
- Any other applicable information
To ensure there is enough time to complete the citation/commendation, please forward this information to my office no later than two weeks from the date you would like the citation presented.

The Assembly Chief Clerk's office has both American and Wisconsin flags available for purchase. You may also choose to have the flag flown over the state capitol on behalf of someone and/or a special occasion. Flags flown over the capitol include a certificate of recognition.
