Over 1,000 bills were introduced this biennium, and those that passed committee and on the floor have been messaged to the Senate. In April, the governor will sign into law or veto bills that made it to his desk.

Many of my constituents were unprepared for the property tax increases they saw this year. Governor Evers' 400 year property tax hike was felt far and wide.

Governor Evers signed AB 136 and Senate Bill 38 into law this week, and local Christmas parades are going on in the district. A transportation projects committee approved a study of I-94 improvements.

A bill recently introduced in Madison would allow for broader on-line gaming if signed into law by Governor Evers. Assembly Bill 601 changes the definition of "bet" in state statute - but not everyone is happy with the bill.

The 2025-27 biennial budget eliminates over 300 positions in state government, adds six district attorneys in Waukesha Co. and expands the 2nd tax bracket for tax relief.
