Madison, WI – Today, Representative Rick Gundrum (R-Slinger) was reappointed to Chair the Wisconsin Assembly Committee on Aging & Long-Term Care for the upcoming legislative session. Following this announcement, Rep. Gundrum released the following statement:

“I am honored to continue my work as chairman on The Assembly Committee on Aging & Long-Term Care. As 2020 comes to a close, we all can agree that taking care of our most vulnerable population is the top priority. Seniors across the state have been negatively impacted from the pandemic. Nursing homes and assisted living facility staff have been stretched more than usual this year as they continue their work in caring for our senior citizens.

“Aging affects us all; no one is immune from it. We must do what we can to ensure that our parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents have the best care possible. I am eager for this session to start and to have the privilege to shepherd legislative improvements through this committee that will safeguard seniors and recruit more qualified caregivers into this crucial profession.”
