Representative Jessie Rodriguez was first elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly during a Special Election in November 2013. She currently resides in Oak Creek with her husband, Aaron and son, Noah.

She is serving her sixth term in the Wisconsin Legislature and her second biennium on the Joint Committee on Finance. She is also a member of the State Fair Park Board and the Wisconsin Center District Board.

Jessie was born in Puerto El Triunfo, El Salvador in 1977. During a civil war in 1985, she moved to Massachusetts with her family and eventually to Milwaukee in the early 1990s. She is a graduate of Hamilton High School and an alumna of Marquette University, where she earned a B.A. in communication studies and Spanish.

The educational opportunities provided to her led to Jessie’s interest in promoting the benefits of the Parental Choice Program. As a legislator, she is able to combine her insight on the communities she represents with her vast knowledge of the Choice Program to work on innovative education reforms to ensure quality education for all students.
