State Representative Margaret Arney

Meet Margaret Arney!

Representative Margaret Arney was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly in 2024. She represents the communities of East Wauwatosa and western neighborhoods of Milwaukee. With more than 30 years of experience as a community leader, non-profit professional, and a teacher, she is excited to continue to serve her community.

Margaret chose to run for office because she wanted to represent her neighbors. She is motivated to serve in the government and be the one voting for the best interest of her community. She perceives this role as something she has done all throughout her life: to understand and serve the people. The work that Margaret does is centered around her belief that the purpose of the government is to use the collective resources for the collective good. 

Arney is honored to follow her personal mission as a representative, which is to live infused in love and to faithfully work for God and others through everything she does. Her goal in all of the work she does is to build a better world that is a more compassionate abundant and peaceful place. She aims to help communities overcome daunting challenges that they didn't know they could, through unity and hope.
