We take a look back

2025 In Review

During my first year in office as a Representative for Wisconsin's State Assembly District 18, I have been able to contribute to meaningful initiatives and back legislation to support the safety and prosperity of Wisconsin residents. Here are some highlights of the work I've had the opportunity to be a part of!

Throughout my time in office, I have focused on my impact in communities, especially attempting to reduce financial and administrative burdens. Child care should be easily accessible and affordable to all groups, especially vulnerable and lower socioeconomic groups. I have advocated for initiatives like child care investments through legislation such as 2025 Senate Bill 322 / 2025 Assembly Bill 317, which supports a Department of Children and Families program to make payments to child care programs. Children must be supported through investments in initiatives such as child care and education investments like 2025 Senate Bill 67 / 2025 Assembly Bill 48, which provided state aid to reimburse public and private schools that provide free meals to all students for the costs of those meals.

It is crucial to me to support the rights of all people and express my support for vulnerable and minority groups. I consistently support initiatives and legislation such as the 2025 Senate Joint Resolution 98 / 2025 Assembly Joint Resolution 108, which recognizes the equality of rights for all protected classes and creates a private cause of action for violations of those rights by state actors. Protected classes, especially those whose rights are under violation, must be protected against discrimination and harm through legislation such as  2025 Senate Bill 380 / 2025 Assembly Bill 361, which eliminates criminal defenses of adequate provocation, self-defense, or not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect if the claim is based on the victim’s gender identity or sexual orientation.
