In the District

One of my favorite things about being your State Senator is getting to meet constituents out in the community at some of our great local events. These gatherings are instrumental in building a sense of community for Northeast Wisconsin, and we are fortunate to have a wide-variety of events for residents and visitors to enjoy in the 2nd Senate District. For adults and children alike, these events, many of which are free, can provide a different perspective on your community, the opportunity to engage in a new activity, and lasting friendships. I encourage all of my constituents to enjoy an evening or weekend at a great, local event.

The 2nd Senate District is also home to many great attractions. From Shawano Lake and the 1,000 Islands Environmental Center to the Seymour Community Museum and Gresham Depot Museum. From Heritage Hill State Historical Park and Navarino Nature Center to Nueske's Applewood Smoked Meats and Laney Cheese. From the Fox River and Mountain-Bay State Trails to Shawano's Main Street Shopping District and Doc's Harley-Davidson. From the barn quilts of Shawano County and the Walls of Wittenberg to Twig's Sun Drop University Museum and the National Railroad Museum. And of course, Lambeau Field. The point is, the number of things to do in Wisconsin's 2nd Senate District are endless. Whether you're a visitor or a life-long resident, you will not run out of things to do and see in Northeast Wisconsin.

To find an event or attraction in your area, visit the Greater Green Bay Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Fox Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Shawano County Chamber of Commerce, or the Clintonville Area Chamber of Commerce. To find more public events, visit the community calendars on WLUK News and the Appleton Post-Crescent.
