Promises Made, Promises Kept

Assembly Republicans finally achieved our goal of increasing revenues to fix our roads and bridges. Coupled with transportation reform legislation, we're investing in our infrastructure and bringing expanded efficiencies and savings to the taxpayer.

The WISCONSIN Budget:

  • Requires the least amount of transportation borrowing since 2001;
  • Provides a 10% increase for local roads;
  • Increases support for the local road grant program by $65 million;
  • Increases resources to maintain and replace our network of state highways -- helping to keep projects around the state on time and on schedule.

Fixing our Roads and Bridges Across Wisconsin

Our roads and bridges are the backbone of our state's economy. That's why the WISCONSIN Budget provides the support we need to build, repair and maintain our state's transportation network.
