Peer Review
Through the National State Auditors Association, auditors from other states and the federal government review the Legislative Audit Bureau's system of quality assurance and the working papers from selected financial audits for compliance with financial auditing standards. Such peer reviews are conducted every three years. The most recent peer review was completed in August 2021, and the Bureau earned a peer review rating of Pass, which is the highest rating possible.
