The 2023-24 Legislative Session

I also serve as one of Wisconsin's Commissioners for the Uniform Law Commission (ULC). This body was established in 1892 and drafts model legislation for states in areas where uniformity, clarity, and stability in laws from state to state would be beneficial. An example of one of the models acts the ULC drafts is the Uniform Recognition and Enforcement of Canadian Domestic-Violence Protection Orders Act, which I introduced and got signed into law as 2017 Act 181.
