LARGEST TAX CUT IN STATE HISTORY

  • For the second budget in a row, the Legislature crafted the largest tax cut in state history
    • $4.4 billion in total tax cuts
    • $3.5 billion in income tax cuts
    • Repeal of the personal property tax
    • Holding the line on property taxes while providing historic revenues for school districts and local governments
  • Under the legislature’s tax plan, the average income tax filer will see a $573 tax cut beginning in 2023 – representing a tax decrease of 15.1%.
  • Since 2011, the tax burden on Wisconsinites has been cut by a cumulative $34.5 billion!
