Historic Investments

  • $1.5 billion in transportation and infrastructure
    • $362.8 million total in local roads and bridges
    • $100 million for the Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP)
    • 2% increases in each year for General Transportation Aids to local governments totaling to $23.9 million
    • $6 million over the biennium to help fund maintenance of state highway connecting roads
  • 2% increase in funding for mass transit totaling to $2.8 million
  • $150 million in a one-time program to help rural, agricultural roads
  • 4% increase in paratransit aids, to help some of Wisconsin’s most vulnerable citizens get around their community
  • Using one-time cash in lieu of borrowing
