Sen. Smith Announces Eau Claire Budget Listening Session

MADISON – Sen. Jeff Smith (D-Brunswick) will host an outdoor budget listening session to hear from constituents about Governor Tony Evers’ 2021-23 biennial state budget proposal.

Sen. Smith consulted with the Eau Claire City-County Health Department to organize a safe event for all attendees. Attendees are asked to adhere to COVID-19 Community Expectations prepared by the City-County Health Department. Attendees will be expected to wear a well-fitting face covering, social distance from others and stay home if sick. Individuals should also bring their own lawn chair or folding chair to the listening session.  

Participants are encouraged to watch Sen. Smith’s budget presentation in advance and bring questions to the listening session. The budget presentation can be found on YouTube or Sen. Smith’s website at legis.wisconsin.gov/senate/31/smith/.

Sen. Smith welcomes constituents to share their thoughts on Governor Evers’ budget proposal if they’re unable to attend this public event. Constituents can send a message to Sen.Smith@legis.wisconsin.gov.
