Wisconsinites move closer to freedom

One of my goals is to help bring awareness of reproductive freedom, and share pertinent information about what’s going on, with likeminded community leaders and activists.

MADISON — Today, Wisconsinites moved closer to restoration of reproductive freedom. Dane County Circuit Court Judge Diane Schlipper released a ruling that rejected Sheboygan County DA Joel Urmanski’s motion to dismiss a case expected to determine the future of abortion access in Wisconsin.

In response to the motion to dismiss, Sen. Kelda Roys issued the following statement:

“Wisconsinites should have the freedom to access necessary health care safely without leaving the state. The motion to dismiss moves us closer to restoring rights to receive abortion care as needed.

“As Americans, we believe in freedom and no one’s freedom should be determined by the zip code they live in. Today represents a step closer to women being able to make their own reproductive decisions in Wisconsin.
