- As of 2022, 7,996 of these professionals are licensed in Wisconsin
- This marks a 32% increase from 2018
- 81% of are NPs
- Family Nurse Practitioner is the most common certification among NPs – 55%
- 93% provide direct care
- 91% have prescriptive authority
- This marks a 55% increase from 2018
- Advanced practice nurses providing mental health services increased from 21% to 43% between 2018 and 2020
- 88% of advanced practice nurses are female
