Internships
My Capitol office offers paid internship opportunities to students who are interested in learning more about the legislature and gaining work experience while making valuable connections in state government. The internship program includes many daily office functions – including constituent outreach, tracking and researching legislation, and drafting social media and communications content – with opportunities for special projects.
Interns are expected to work approximately 10 hours per week during regular business hours at the State Capitol in Madison, and will earn $15 an hour. Interns should be either undergraduate juniors/seniors or graduate students.
If you are interested in interning in my legislative office, please email me at Sen.Spreitzer@legis.wisconsin.gov with a cover letter, resume, and 3-5 page writing sample. My staff and I will be in touch as soon as possible with available opportunities.
