Community Meeting on Juvenile Justice Reform

(MADISON) – Today, Youth Justice Milwaukee will be hosting a Community Conversation regarding the closing of Lincoln Hills and Copper Lake Juvenile Correctional Facilities, and more importantly what our next steps should be.

The discussion will focus on Act 185, the piece of legislation that called for the closing of the two Juvenile Corrections facilities by 2021.  Following a brief overview of Act 185 provided by the Department of Corrections, there will be small group discussion about how we can provide input to shape the regional facilities that will replace Lincoln Hills and Copper Lake.  For more information, please don’t hesitate to contact Senator Taylor’s Madison Office (608)-266-5810.
