About
Hello! I'm Jodi Emerson,
I represent the 91st State Assembly District. I was first elected in 2018, and I represent various localities within the Chippewa Valley. I grew up in Eau Claire, graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School, and went on to study biotechnology at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
My involvement in public service began when I became a staunch advocate against human trafficking, which led me to become involved in numerous community organizations. I have been a member of groups such as the Wisconsin Human Trafficking Advisory Council, the Wisconsin Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force, and the Wisconsin Parent Teacher Association.
Currently, I am a member of the Wisconsin Women’s Council, the Governor’s Council on Migrant Labor, and the Transportation Projects Commission. I serve on the Assembly Committees for Colleges and Universities, Rural Development, Criminal Justice and Public Safety, and Housing and Real Estate. I am the Ranking Democrat on both the Colleges and Universities and Rural Development Committees, as well as the Vice-Chair of the Speaker’s Task Force on Human Trafficking.
Outside of my work, I’m a proud parent of two daughters who recently made me a grandmother to two beautiful grandbabies. I have been actively involved in the Wisconsin Parent Teacher Association and the Girl Scouts. My family and I love being part of the Eastside Hill community, where I previously served on the neighborhood association’s steering committee. Together, we’re working to make Wisconsin a better place for all families.
