Representative Lisa Subeck Statement on White House Inter-Agency Group to Counter Antisemitism

MADISON – Today, Representative Lisa Subeck released the following statement regarding a recent action by the White House creating an inter-agency group to combat antisemitism. The group, led by Domestic Policy Council and National Security Council staff, will coordinate United States government efforts to counter antisemitism, Islamophobia, and related forms of bias and discrimination.

“Thank you to the Biden Administration for taking seriously the threat posed by antisemitism and holocaust denialism in the United States. We cannot stand idly by while extremists spread hate and division in our country.

This new inter-agency group to coordinate efforts countering religious harassment and discrimination is an important step toward building inclusion, unity, and acceptance. I commend the White House’s commitment to increasing understanding of the impact of antisemitism, addressing and preventing antisemitic harassment and attacks, and building a more inclusive nation for all.”

Representative Lisa Subeck has represented the 78th Assembly District since 2015 and serves as a board member of the National Foundation of Jewish Legislators and the Chair of the Assembly Democratic Caucus.
