Representative Lisa Subeck Receives 2018 Elected Official Award from Arc-Dane County

MADISON - Yesterday, Representative Lisa Subeck (D-Madison) received the 2018 Elected Official Award from Arc-Dane County. Arc-Dane County is a group of parents and advocates working to ensure that all children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families are offered the same opportunities, choices, rights, and respect due all people in our community through example, education, advocacy, support, and legislation. fighting for educational, employment, residential, and social opportunities that help smooth life’s transitions.

“I am honored to earn this recognition from advocates in Dane County committed to children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families,” said Rep. Subeck.

Representative Subeck was nominated for the award due to her work with the Department of Health Services (DHS) on behalf of families preparing for the Medicaid Family Care/IRIS/Partnership programs transition. An expert from the nomination: “It is this type of active outreach that makes a meaningful impact on our Arc-Dane County members and families during a stressful experience during this major transition.” Representative Subeck received the 2018 Elected Official Award last night at Arc-Dane County’s Annual Award banquet in Madison.
