51 Years After Roe vs. Wade, Reproductive Freedom in Jeopardy in Wisconsin
MADISON – Today marks what should be a celebration of the 51st anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark decision in Roe vs Wade. Wisconsinites are left to fight for their reproductive freedom in response to a Republican proposal to ban abortions after 13 weeks of pregnancy.
Representative Lisa Subeck released the following statement:
“Republicans will stop at nothing in their quest to limit abortion access. Now, they want to debate the precise moment at which you lose your reproductive freedom. Let me be clear, there’s never a right moment for politicians to make your reproductive healthcare decisions for you.”
Rep. Subeck has represented the 78th Assembly District since 2015 and serves as Chair of the Assembly Democratic Caucus.
