Sen. Nass and Republicans Push to Undermine Democracy and Limit Voter Participation in Wisconsin

MADISON:  Democratic Members on the Joint Committee for Review of Administrative Rules call out Senator Nass and Republican members for taking action to reduce voter participation by adding hurdles for future elections. Senator Nass has called for a committee vote today that aims at reducing absentee voting in Wisconsin.

Sen. Kelda Roys, Sen. Chris Larson, Rep. Gary Hebl, and Rep. Lisa Subeck released the following statement on today’s committee actions:

"On the one year anniversary of the Republican-led insurrection in Washington, D.C., Senator Nass and the Republicans on JCRAR announced a vote to further limit voter participation. Nass and others are hell-bent on maintaining power, even if it means undermining democracy. From their illegitimate gerrymandered majority to voter suppression and amplifying the Big Lie, Wisconsin’s legislative Republicans have made their disdain for Wisconsin voters clear.”
