Representative Subeck Attends Biden Post-SOTU Remarks at Laborers Job Training Facility

MADISON – Yesterday, Representative Lisa Subeck (D-Madison) attended President Joe Biden’s remarks at the Wisconsin Laborer’s Apprenticeship and Training Center in Deforest, Wisconsin. The speech, highlighting the president’s achievements on infrastructure and the economy, was Biden’s first stop following his State of the Union address on Tuesday.

“Thanks to President Biden and his administration, working families are once again getting a shot at the American Dream,” said Representative Subeck, “It is no coincidence that his first stop after the State of the Union Address was right here in Wisconsin, where we are seeing historic growth in jobs, wages, and new businesses.”

In his speech, the President focused on his administration’s progress in expanding opportunities for blue collar workers, specifically highlighting projects achieved through the 2021 Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the Inflation Reduction Act passed in 2022.

“The President’s message of good jobs and workforce development resonates with the people of our state because many families feel that they are being left behind,” added Rep. Subeck, “Whether we are talking about new electric buses in Madison or rebuilding a bridge in Columbia County, President Biden is delivering on his promise to rebuild the middle class right here in Wisconsin.”

Rep. Subeck has represented the 78th Assembly District since 2015 and serves as Chair of the Assembly Democratic Caucus.
