MADISON – Today, Representative Lisa Subeck (D-Madison) responded to today’s decision by the Wisconsin Supreme Court prohibiting the use of unmanned ballot drop boxes in future elections.

“In yet another partisan decision from the conservative majority on the Wisconsin Supreme Court, the fundamental right of every citizen to cast a ballot in a free and fair election is now more restricted. This decision will make it much harder for working families and Wisconsinites with disabilities to access the ballot box.

We know from court rulings, audits, and recounts that the 2020 election was conducted in a safe, secure, and accurate manner, but Republicans in our government will not stop promoting their baseless accusations that widespread voter fraud swayed the results.”

Representative Lisa Subeck is a member of the Assembly Committee on Campaigns and Elections, has represented the 78th Assembly District since 2015, and serves as Chair of the Assembly Democratic Caucus.
