Rep. Lisa Subeck: Governor’s Budget Priorities Will Help Working Families

MADISON – Today, Governor Tony Evers released his proposed budget for the 2023-2025 budget cycle to the Wisconsin Assembly. Representative Subeck released the following statements.

“The people of Wisconsin elected Governor Tony Evers to represent their values and priorities, and his proposed budget does just that. Our state is in a strong financial position thanks to the Governor’s leadership, providing us a once in a generation opportunity to invest in our children and our communities.”

“With historic new investments in our neighborhood schools, we can ensure every child has access to a great public education and a bright future right here in Wisconsin. This budget provides desperately needed funding for mental health services, special education, and new technology to help every child succeed.”

“Our counties and municipalities need resources to keep our communities safe and strong. This budget makes sure that our local governments have the funding they need to keep our neighborhoods safe, our drinking water clean, and our roads in good repair.”

“This budget paves the way for financial security and supports our working families. With historic investments in affordable housing and childcare and a 10% middle class tax cut, Wisconsinites will have more money in their pockets to provide a bright future.”

Rep. Subeck has represented the 78th Assembly District since 2015 and serves as Chair of the Assembly Democratic Caucus.
