IN FOCUS — State Rep. Katrina Shankland (D-Stevens Point) has long been passionate about renewable energy.

Shankland worked for the Midwest Renewable Energy Association before she was elected to the state legislature.

In recent sessions, she's introduced several bills promoting renewable energy. They included a proposal to provide grants for clean energy producers and a mandate that utility companies draw more of their annual power from renewable sources.
