PLOVER – Surrounded by a heavy shroud of fog, Plover VFW Post 10262 and the Civil Air Patrol-Stevens Point Composite Squadron presented military honors and ceremonies for Wreaths Across America on Dec. 13 at the Korean War Memorial in Plover. Guest speakers included 71st Assembly District State Rep. Katrina Shankland and Village of Plover Administrator Dan Mahoney.
The annual wreath-laying ceremony, held at more than 800 cemeteries and memorials nationwide, fulfills a mission to remember our fallen heroes, honor those who serve and teach our children about the sacrifices made by veterans and their families to preserve our freedoms.
