Born in Somers, Wisconsin, Tip McGuire graduated from St. Catherine's High School in Racine in 2005. He received his bachelor's degree from Marquette University in 2009 and then went on to earn his J.D. degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School. He quickly found a passion in politics and worked as a legislative aid to Assembly Member Peter W. Barca from 2009 to 2014 and was a campaign field organizer for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin in both the 2010 and 2012 election.
After law school he became a prosecutor for the Kenosha County District Attorney's office and in 2018 he became an Assistant District Attorney for Milwaukee County.
In 2019, McGuire's long term dedication to the state of Wisconsin led him to run for the Representative for the 64th Assembly District where he continues to work towards a better Wisconsin.
