MADISON, WI — Today, the Wisconsin Legislative Transgender Parent & Nonbinary Advocacy Caucus (TPANAC) expressed deep disappointment following the United States Supreme Court’s decision to uphold state laws that prohibit transgender girls from participating on girls school sports teams. The ruling, in consolidating cases from Idaho and West Virginia, will have far-reaching implications for transgender youth across the country and strengthens similar ban laws already enacted in over 25 states. 

APPLETON, WI – Today, State Senator Kristin Dassler-Alfheim (D-Appleton) and State Representative Lee Snodgrass (D-Appleton) were joined by local child care providers and parents for a press conference at Bridges Child Enrichment Center in Appleton to discuss the end of the Child Care Bridge Payment Program and the impacts of the loss of the program.

MADISON, WI — The Transgender Parent and Nonbinary Advocacy Caucus strongly condemns the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ proposed rules and the two U.S. House legislative bills that would severely ban access to medically necessary, evidence-based health care, for transgender and nonbinary minors. These proposals build on harmful policies advanced during the Trump administration and represent a dangerous step backward for families, patients, and providers.

MADISON - Today, Senator Mark Spreitzer (D-Beloit), Representative Lee Snodgrass (D-Appleton) and Representative Clinton Anderson (D-Beloit) introduced legislation to allow Wisconsin clerks to begin processing absentee ballots the day before Election Day.
