Ho-Chunk Swearing In, IBEW Tour, and Accelerator Pitch Night
In this e-update, I attended the Ho-Chunk Nation swearing in ceremony, toured the new IBEW union hall, attended the Rock County Jumpstart Accelerator Pitch night, toured the top of the Capitol dome, and went to Beloit Meals on Wheels with Sully.
Ho-Chunk Nation Swearing In Ceremony
Earlier this month, I attended the swearing in ceremony for the Ho-Chunk Nation. I have supported their efforts to build a casino and convention center in Beloit during my tenure on the Beloit City Council. I look forward to continuing this relationship in the Assembly. Congratulations to President Jon Greendeer, members of the legislature, and the judiciary on taking their oaths of office.
IBEW Tour
I joined Representative Sue Conley for a tour of IBEW Local 890. Their new space gives them more opportunities to train future electricians and more space for their members to meet. I appreciate the investment members made to make their new building a great home for Local 890 for generations to come.
Rock County Jumpstart Accelerator Pitch Night
The Rock County Jumpstart Accelerator Pitch Night was a great success. The accelerator consists of a 10 week classroom program followed by the pitch event. The services provided by Rock County Jumpstart have supported Black owned businesses for several years. Thank you Genia Stevens for your work uplifting business in our communities.
Dome Tour
I went on a tour to the top of the Capitol dome this week. It was a fun new way to get to look at the Capitol. If you want to go on a dome tour, you can reach out to my office to set one up!
Sully Sunday
Beloit Meals On Wheels, Inc. was Sully's choice for this week's edition of #SullySunday. Beloit Meals on Wheels provides daily meals to the homebound elderly, ill, and disabled. Sully appreciates the work the staff and volunteers do for our community. Go to www.beloitmealsonwheels.org to learn how to support their efforts. If you have a recommendation for where Sully should go next, nominate a location here.
