Meet Jon
For 30 years, Jon Plumer served the greater Madison area as a route salesman for Kraft Foods. After retiring, he and his wife opened and continue to operate martial arts schools, now with three statewide locations. Through his small business and community involvement, Jon is in close contact with the residents of the 42nd Assembly District.
Prior to his election to the Assembly, Representative Jon Plumer has been an active member of the community for much of his life. He has previously served as president of the Lodi and Lake Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce. Jon and his wife Chris co-founded the annual Lodi Pride free Thanksgiving dinner. Jon is a former member of the Lodi Optimist Club, Lodi Rotary, and the Columbia County Board of Supervisors.
For the 2023-2025 Session, Jon was named Assistant Majority Leader and serves on the following committees: Committee on Assembly Organization, Committee on Mental Health and Substance Abuse Prevention, Committee on Rules, Committee on Tourism, Committee on Transportation, Joint Committee on Legislative Organization, Joint Legislative Council and Speaker's Task Force on Human Trafficking.
Jon and his wife Chris have been married for 45 years. They have four grown daughters and nine grandchildren.
