Maureen McCarville was born into a big family and has lived in Wisconsin most of her life. She graduated from Beloit Memorial High School and has earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Upper Iowa University. She has been a proud DeForest resident since 1979.
Maureen worked at Madison Gas & Electric for 40 years, 17 of which she was an officer in the Union OPEIU (local 39) and the Chief Steward. She started in the metering department, was promoted to treasury/cash management, and was then promoted to manager in Cash Management.
She is also a veteran, having served in the Wisconsin National Guard for over a decade. She enjoyed her time in the Guard and cares deeply about issues affecting veterans.
As a lifelong public servant, Maureen also cares about the issues that affect her community. Maureen served 2 terms on the DeForest Village Board, was appointed to the DeForest Police Commission for 11 years, and was elected to the Dane County Board of Supervisors in 2012.
She has a large extended family and sees her 13 nieces, nephews, and her 28 great nieces and nephews often.
