Meet Rob
A native of western Wisconsin, Rob Kreibich grew up in nearby River Falls. He earned a journalism degree from the University of Minnesota and went to work at NBC affiliate WEAU TV in Eau Claire as a reporter and anchor. He shifted from reporting news to making news when he was elected to the State Assembly in his early 30s. Rob represented the 93rd District from 1993 to 2007. The highlight of his 14-year career in the legislature was authoring the Edvest College Savings Program.
During his 18-year gap from the Assembly, Rob worked in healthcare marketing and in his current position as CEO and President of the New Richmond Chamber of Commerce. Since running the chamber, he has nearly tripled membership and transformed the chamber into a regional juggernaut. It’s more than a title to Rob – his passion for public service is driven by helping everyday people, rather it be by helping them start the business of their dreams or fighting for legislation that benefits them and their families.
Rob was re-elected to the Assembly in 2024, earning over 66% of the votes. He serves on the following committees:
-
Committee on Commerce (Chair)
-
Committee on Financial Institutions (Vice-Chair)
-
Committee on Workforce Development, Labor, and Integrated Employment
Rob lives in New Richmond and has three adult children.
