Thank You!

November 6, 2024

The votes are in, and I am sincerely honored to represent the 23rd district in the State Assembly for another term. Whether you voted for me or not, I will continue to work hard on behalf of all constituents and I look forward to hearing from you on the issues you care about most.

Our in-district office hours will resume in January after the new legislature is sworn in. In the meantime please don’t hesitate to contact our office by phone or email if we can be of service - see the bottom of this newsletter for details.

New Staff

Stacy Benoy, a recent UW Madison graduate, has joined our office as a Legislative Assistant. Read more about Stacy on our web page and be sure to give her a warm welcome when contacting our office!

Around the District

Our North Shore Fire Department has a state-of-the-art new home shared with the North Shore Health Department. It was an honor to attend the ribbon-cutting event on October 29th and meet with the hard-working men and women who keep our neighborhood safe and healthy!

Mequon-Thiensville Chamber of Commerce Honors Local Businesses

I had a wonderful evening at the Celebrate Our Community Awards Dinner, hosted by the Mequon-Thiensville Chamber of Commerce on October 17th. It was inspiring to see so many members present to recognize the honorees for their hard work and dedication to our community. Congratulations to Large Business of the Year winner John Fall, owner of the local Culvers’ franchise; Small Business of the Year winner Steve Tobin and Tobin Jewelers; and Jon A. Cyganiak, who was posthumously awarded Citizen of the Year.

Two Beautiful New Schools for 23rd District Students!

Students at Bayside Middle School and Nicolet Union High School are enjoying brand-new facilities this school year! These state-of-the-art schools were developed after lengthy strategic planning and community outreach, and the results are impressive. Congratulations to the school board members, faculty, students and staff who helped make these schools a reality, and thank you to members of the community for investing in the future of public education.

Emergency Gun Violence Summit

I was honored to be a featured speaker at the Emergency Gun Violence Summit in Milwaukee on October 10th. I will continue to co-chair the Legislative Gun Safety Coalition and continue the fight to enact common-sense gun safety measures in Wisconsin.
