Rep. Neylon Votes to Protect Voter ID

Pewaukee – Today State Representative Adam Neylon (R-Pewaukee) issued the following statement after supporting the passage of Senate Joint Resolution 2, legislation to amend the Wisconsin Constitution to require valid photographic identification when voting:

“I voted to cement Voter ID in the Wisconsin Constitution because it helps prevent voter fraud. Showing your ID in order to vote is just plain common sense. Furthermore, it strengthens public confidence in the integrity and the legitimacy of our elections.

“For those who say we don’t need this, the very fact we have to have this debate, and the fact that the vote falls along partisan lines, shows Voter ID needs to be protected, through the use of a Constitutional amendment.”
