COVID-19 Update

Dear Neighbor,

In order to support your families being able to take a deep breath, turn away from constant news updates, and create a new temporary normal, my office will continue posting a near-daily update on the COVID-19 public health emergency to our website and on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

It is my hope that one reliable update each day will allow you to take a deep breath, oversee all that is happening in your own life and home, and have a reliable source of news you can count on to be up to date and accurate. As always, previous updates are on our website and linked beneath the graphic below. 

My greatest concerns right now are your lives and livelihoods. We are working hard to keep you and your loved ones safe, and to fight for our small businesses in an unprecedented crisis.

COVID-19 Cases

Today, Wisconsin reported the highest daily increase of COVID-19 cases yet at 1,117 new positive cases. The Department of Health Services is urging Wisconsinites to:

  • Wear a mask or cloth face covering when in public
  • Physical distance (at least 6 feet)
  • Do not gather in large groups
  • Practice good hygiene
  • Get tested if experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms

Register to Vote Online  

Tomorrow, Wednesday, July 22nd, is the last day to register to vote online for the August 11th election. Register at myvote.wi.gov.

Statewide

44,135 confirmed cases (increase of 1,117*)

7.7% of total tests are positive (for 7/21)

4,194 hospitalizations (9.5% of cases- increase of 65)

33,902 recovered cases (77% of all cases)

750,562 negative test results (increase of 13,371)

859 devastating deaths (increase of 14)

14th District Counties

Milwaukee - 16,570 confirmed cases
Waukesha - 2,449 confirmed cases

*Changes over yesterday
